Remember Frank? I AM movie introduces Tom at the Varsity this week
05/22/2011
Remember Frank from May I Be Frank? We love Frank! His story is inspiring! Now we want you to meet Tom from the movie I AM - his journey to health and healing is cool too! The Varsity in Des Moines held this movie over one week so get out to the movies and enjoy the warmth of one of our locally owned theaters. It is the only Iowa showing! And the film explores our connectedness and heart capacity in a science based approach. Heart Math is highlighted.
Featuring David Suzuki, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Lynne McTaggart, Ray Anderson, John Francis, Coleman Barks, Thom Hartmann, and Marc Ian Barasch.

“I AM” is an utterly engaging and entertaining non-fiction film that poses two practical and provocative questions: what's wrong with our world, and what can we do to make it better? The filmmaker behind the inquiry is Tom Shadyac, the creative force behind such blockbusters as “Ace Ventura,” “Liar Liar,” “The Nutty Professor,” and “Bruce Almighty.” However, in “I AM”, Shadyac steps in front of the camera to recount what happened to him after a cycling accident left him incapacitated. Though he ultimately recovered, he emerged with a new sense of purpose, determined to share his own awakening to his prior life of excess and greed, and to investigate how he as an individual, and we as a race, could improve the way we live and walk in the world.
Because we are all connected and we matter,
Angela
